Temporary Resident Permit
A temporary resident permit (TRP) is a document that allows someone who is inadmissible to Canada to enter or remain in the country for a specific period of time. Inadmissibility can be due to a number of factors, such as a criminal record or health issues.
A TRP is issued at the discretion of the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and is not a permanent solution to inadmissibility. It can be granted for a single entry or for multiple entries and can be valid for up to three years, depending on the circumstances.
To apply for a TRP, an individual must provide documentation and information about their inadmissibility, as well as their reasons for wanting to enter or remain in Canada. The application process can be complex and time-consuming, and it is recommended to seek the advice of an immigration lawyer or consultant.
